Gary R. Slizgi
Chief Executive Officer

"Conducting efficient and quality clinical trials shortens the time the patient is waiting."
Prior to working at Clinesian, Gary Slizgi was Vice President of Business Development and Strategy for a full service Phase I CRO in southern California growing the business from 2.6MM to 12MM in three years. Gary continues to work at ClinicAid Research Management, an investigator site CRO,  where he is Chief Business Development Officer. Gary has over 20 years of pharmaceutical experience in Development Operations working more recently at Pfizer where he was Senior Director and Site Head overseeing a staff of 150 CRAs, data managers, programmers, statisticians, and medical writers. 

Prior to Pfizer, he had worked with DuPont-Merck and The Upjohn Company. Gary has experience in multiple therapeutic areas including oncology, cardiovascular, CNS, transplant, HIV, and clinical pharmacology. In addition, he has contributed to several NDA submissions in the fields of cardiovascular, CNS, oncology, and HIV.   He received his B.A. in biology from Boston University and an M.S. in physiology and biochemistry from Duke University.

Benjamin Jackson
Chief Operating Officer

Ben Jackson  brings 20+ year of biostatistics programming and database design and programming for the pharmaceutical industry.  He has held management positions at a number of major pharmaceutical companies and achieved dramatic improvements in security, quality and efficiency of clinical data management and storage through introduction of new systems, data models and programming standards.

Vladimir Mats
Chief Scientific Officer

Vladimir Mats, brings 12 years of statistical analysis of pre-clinical and clinical trial data in academia, pharmaceutical industry, medical devices, and the FDA as well as  4 years as manager coordinating efforts of statistics, programming and data management groups in NDA preparation.  He was responsible for writing statistical sections of Phase I-IV and PK studies protocols, sample size calculations and randomization schedules, developing statistical analysis plans (SAPs), specifications for case report tabulations and statistical reports, safety and efficacy analysis.  He also has 7 years of statistical consulting in PK analysis and experimental design.  

P. Dwight Tapp, PhD, MBA, CCRP
Chief Financial Officer

"Science is seeing the possible within the impossible"
Dr. Tapp began his research career 15 years ago. His initial research focused on brain mechanisms of epilepsy and brain aging (including Alzheimer's disease), but later expanded to the application of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Positron Emission Tomography (PET) to evaluate brain aging and cancers. As a researcher, Dr. Tapp, has served as a scientific journal editor, published several book chapters and numerous research articles, has presented his research findings at more than 30 national and international scientific conferences and served on two Institutional Review Boards. His research findings are cited by several leading researchers and have been translated into five different languages.
Following the completion of his PhD in Psychology and Neuroscience, Dr. Tapp completed a fellowship in Functional Onco-Imaging while simultaneously earning a Master's of Business Administration in Health Care. In 2005 he served as the Executive Director of Clinical Research Operations and Business Development for a large multi-practice Oncology Clinic in Southern California before merging his scientific and business interests to co-found ClinicAid Research Management Incorporated.

In addition to his role as CFO at Clinesian, Dr. Tapp is the founder and CEO of ClinicAid Research Management, an Investigator Site CRO.  He recently completed a term as the Vice President to the Orange County Board of Directors for the Wellness Community, a non-profit corporation serving cancer patients, and was also a member of the Executive Committee, Board Development Committee, and Chairman of the Outreach Committee for this organization. Currently, he maintains a seat on the Bioethics Committee for the Alzheimer's Association of Orange County and has active memberships in numerous scientific and professional organizations.
